Prepare yourself for an unforgettable ride as the famed Maid of the Mist, a continuously operating all-electric marvel since 1885, commences its 2024 season on Thursday, April 4, at 10 a.m. Entering its remarkable 139th straight season, this legendary boat remains as one of the most enduring tourist attractions in North America.
President Christopher M. Glynn announces an early season start due to a mild winter, which allows visitors to marvel at Niagara Falls much sooner than usual. The team is eager and ready to deliver an outstanding bucket-list experience.

The upcoming season sees extended operational hours for the Maid of the Mist, with services every thirty minutes on weekdays (from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.) and weekends (from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.). More time extensions will be added during the summer for a longer immersion in the captivating allure of the Falls.
An exceptional highlight for 2024 is the Total Solar Eclipse on Monday, April 8. To accommodate the expected influx of eclipse enthusiasts, extended hours from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. are planned. The vessel tour operations will run on a first-come, first-served basis on the day, offering a rare opportunity to view this astronomical event.
Note that the Crow’s Nest will be closed and tickets solely for the Observation Deck won’t be sold on the eclipse event day.
Adult ticket prices are $28.25 USD, children (age 6-12) pay $17.75 USD, while children under 5 are granted free admission when accompanied by an adult. Tickets can be purchased online to help ensure a hassle-free experience.
Last year, the season for the Maid of the Mist commenced on April 15. However, this year’s run starts sooner on April 4 and will run until November 3, 2024, ensuring plenty of opportunities for everyone to enjoy this awe-inspiring adventure.
