Understanding a Solar Eclipse
A solar eclipse takes place when the moon perfectly aligns between the Sun and the Earth, casting a shadow that obscures the Sun. At 2:04 p.m. on April 8, 2024, Niagara Falls will witness a spectacular display as the Sun is covered by the moon, momentary turning day into night. Protect your eyes with certified solar viewing glasses, available at all Niagara Parks’ sites.

Free Total Solar Eclipse Concert | Monday, April 8 | Queen Victoria Park
Complete your celestial experience with a free concert at Queen Victoria Park, brought to you by Niagara Falls Tourism. Enjoy performances by The Glorious Sons, JJ Wilde, New Friends, The Boneheads, and the Niagara Symphony Orchestra, creating a magical ambiance before and after the eclipse.

Don’t miss out on the Solar Eclipse 2024 – an experience you’ll cherish forever!

Essential Information: Ensure your eye safety during the eclipse. Staring directly at the sun without certified solar viewing glasses can risk severe eye damage. Ordinary sunglasses aren’t adequate.
