On December 31, Queen Victoria Park becomes the gathering point for Niagara Falls' free New Year's Eve celebration. A family-friendly fireworks show lights up the Falls around 8 p.m. for early celebrants, and a longer, roughly nine-minute display launched from both the Canadian and U.S. sides rings in midnight, accompanied by half-hourly laser light shows over the gorge.
Staged by Niagara Parks in the same season as the Winter Festival of Lights displays, the countdown is a distinct one-night event; no ticket is required to watch outdoors, though nearby Table Rock and Clifton Hill venues offer New Year's dinners and stay open late. The next celebration takes place on December 31, 2026.
