About Travel Niagara

Travel Niagara is an independent guide to the Niagara region — the waterfalls, wine country, historic towns, parks and events on both the Canadian and U.S. sides of the border. Our goal is simple: help you plan a great visit with accurate, practical, up-to-date information in one place.

What you’ll find here

Independent and impartial

Travel Niagara is not affiliated with any government agency, tourism board or the businesses we list, and we don’t accept payment for inclusion or placement. Listings are chosen on merit alone. Curious how that compares with the region’s other travel sites? We map out who runs each of them and how we’re different.

Who writes Travel Niagara

Travel Niagara is written and edited under the byline J.T. — a Niagara Falls, Ontario local who is regularly on both the Canadian and American sides of the border. That cross-border, on-the-ground perspective is the point: we cover the whole region, not one town or one side.

How we make our content

We research each place and event and verify practical facts — hours, admission, parking, accessibility — against official sources wherever possible, and note when they were last checked. Where a detail can’t be confirmed, we leave it out rather than guess. Photography is either our own or drawn from openly-licensed sources with attribution. Our writing is original. You can read more in our editorial standards.
