This policy explains what information Travel Niagara collects and how we use it. It’s written in plain language as a general guide; it isn’t legal advice, and you should have a professional review it for your circumstances. Last updated: July 2026.
The short version
We don’t run advertising, we don’t use analytics or cross-site tracking, and we don’t sell your data. The only personal information we receive is what you choose to send us — for example, through the contact form.
What we collect
- Messages you send us. If you use the contact form or email us, we receive your name, email address and message so we can reply. We don’t use these details for marketing.
- Standard server logs. Like most websites, our host records basic technical data (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) to keep the site secure and running. These are ordinary web-server logs, not a tracking profile.
Cookies
We don’t set advertising or tracking cookies. Cookies are used only for essential site functions (and only for administrators when signing in). You can block cookies in your browser without affecting normal browsing.
Third-party services
A few features rely on outside services, each with its own privacy practices:
- Maps. Our maps use OpenStreetMap tiles; when a map loads, your browser contacts OpenStreetMap, which will see your IP address.
- Live info. Weather and border-wait information is fetched by our server from public sources — no personal data of yours is sent to them.
- Hosting & email. Our web host and email-delivery provider process data on our behalf to run the site and deliver messages.
Your choices
You can ask us to access or delete the information you’ve sent us — just email travel2niagara@gmail.com. Because we don’t build user profiles, there’s very little for us to hold beyond your correspondence.
Children’s privacy
Travel Niagara is a general-audience travel site and is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
