Stevensville is a small, historically agricultural village in Fort Erie's rural interior, set along Black Creek several kilometres north of Lake Erie. It is best remembered as the birthplace of James L. Kraft, the entrepreneur who pioneered processed cheese and founded Kraft Foods. Once a hub within Bertie Township, it retains a compact village core, heritage churches, and country character, and draws visitors to the nearby Safari Niagara wildlife park.
