Drummondville is a historic neighbourhood clustered around the Main Street and Ferry Street intersection near the Lundy's Lane battlefield. Founded around 1831 and named for British General Sir Gordon Drummond, it developed as a village on the 1814 War of 1812 battleground and was incorporated in 1882, later becoming the Village of Niagara Falls. It survives today as 'Historic Drummondville,' a heritage business district that is home to the Niagara Falls History Museum and the Drummond Hill Cemetery.
