Peninsula Ridge occupies a high, west-facing site on the Beamsville Bench, where the vineyards and hospitality buildings look out over the escarpment toward Lake Ontario and, on clear days, the Toronto skyline. The estate has produced VQA wines since around 2000 and is as much a destination for its setting and dining as for its bottles.
The on-site restaurant is housed in a heritage-designated Queen Anne-style brick manor built in the 1880s, and visitors can taste in the wine shop before lingering over the panoramic views. It's a fitting stop for pairing wine with a meal on the Beamsville Bench.
