Ball's Falls pairs raw natural scenery with living history. Twenty Mile Creek cuts through the Niagara Escarpment to form an upper falls and a much taller lower falls, both fed by the seasons so their character shifts from a thundering spring flow to a thin late-summer veil. Wooded trails thread the gorge and connect walkers to the wider Bruce Trail network, making it a favourite stop for hikers and photographers.
Alongside the water sits a preserved industrial hamlet founded by Loyalist settlers, complete with the original family homestead, a working flour mill, a lime kiln, a blacksmith shop and a small church. An on-site Centre for Conservation adds interpretive galleries, while a splash pad, playground and picnic grounds round out a day that suits families and heritage buffs alike.
