Rockway Conservation Area sits on the brow of the Niagara Escarpment where Fifteen Mile Creek plunges over two impressive drops into a wooded gorge. Managed by the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority, the reserve pairs genuinely rugged backcountry beneath the cliffs with a more welcoming clifftop experience.
A granular stone pathway now allows visitors of varying mobility, including wheelchair users, to reach lookout points over the falls and the surrounding valley of mature hardwoods such as sugar maple, basswood and black walnut. The setting feels remote despite being close to the Lincoln and St. Catharines boundary, and the combination of dramatic scenery, mature forest and improved accessibility has made it an increasingly popular stop for waterfall seekers and Bruce Trail hikers.
