Louth Conservation Area protects a slice of the Niagara Escarpment where Sixteen Mile Creek carves through the rock to form a pair of waterfalls, the lower of which is the more dramatic and a favourite target for hikers and photographers. Acquired by the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority in the 1970s, the property is fairly small but delivers a real sense of wildness.
A steep, informal path leads down toward the falls and connects into the wider Bruce Trail network, making it a quieter alternative to the region's better-known cascades. It is best suited to visitors comfortable with uneven terrain who are happy to trade easy access for a bit of solitude.
