Part of the province-wide Doors Open Ontario program run by the Ontario Heritage Trust, this free one-day event opens the doors of Niagara-on-the-Lake's historic buildings, churches, museums and other culturally significant sites that are often closed to the public or charge admission. Visitors can explore behind the scenes of landmark architecture, meet local historians and volunteers, and trace the town's Loyalist, military and architectural heritage along a self-guided route.
2026 marks the 25th anniversary season of Doors Open Ontario, with the Niagara-on-the-Lake edition confirmed for Saturday, October 17 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission to participating sites is free.
