Held at Merritt Park along Welland's recreational canal, this two-day festival showcases the food, music, dance and traditions of Niagara's African and Caribbean communities. The 2026 edition takes place August 8 and 9 with free admission, featuring vendors serving dishes such as jerk chicken, curry goat and jollof rice, live performances, a marketplace and family-friendly activities.
Run by the Welland African and Caribbean Festival organization, it has grown into one of the region's signature multicultural summer gatherings.
