One of Niagara's largest Latin celebrations, the Welland Salsa & Cumbia Festival brings the sounds of salsa, cumbia and other Latin American rhythms to Merritt Park on the banks of the Welland Recreational Canal. Presented by Latin Niagara Entertainment, the weekend pairs live bands and dance shows with hands-on dance workshops, an artisan marketplace and food vendors serving Latin American flavours, plus a decorated-boat water parade on the canal.
Entry and parking are free, and the programming is built to be family-friendly, drawing dancers and first-timers alike from across the region. The 2026 festival is scheduled for the weekend of August 29 to 30 at Merritt Park.
