Vineland is a historic agricultural community in Lincoln settled by Pennsylvania Mennonites around 1786 and originally known as 'the Twenty' after nearby Twenty Mile Creek. It is home to the First Mennonite Church, organized in 1801 and considered the oldest Mennonite congregation in Canada. The community remains a centre of tender-fruit growing and wineries, and hosts the Vineland Research and Innovation Centre for horticulture.
