West Lincoln is a large, agriculture-based township in the southwest of the Niagara Region, with Smithville as its administrative centre and largest community. Situated roughly halfway between Hamilton and the central Niagara towns, it is made up of farmland, rivers, and several small villages. Smithville grew from a late-1780s Loyalist settlement and retains a historic early-1900s railway station.
