Pelham is a largely rural, agricultural town in the centre of the Niagara Peninsula, with Fonthill as its main community. It is characterized by orchards, vineyards, and the wooded Short Hills, and is home to the Comfort Maple, reputed to be Canada's oldest sugar maple tree. Nearby Short Hills Provincial Park offers hiking trails and waterfalls.
