Happy Rolph’s Animal Farm

Happy Rolph's started life as a private bird sanctuary and is now a beloved no-cost outing operated by the City of St. Catharines along the Lake Ontario shoreline. Seasonal residents include alpacas, llamas, horses, goats and chickens, while the sanctuary's pond draws swans, ducks and geese that visitors can help feed.

Beyond the animals, the grounds offer a large playground, picnic areas, a pavilion and lakeside walking trails, making it an easy half-day stop for families with young children. The animals are on site through the warmer months, and the surrounding park stays open for walks year-round; admission is free, with donations welcomed to help care for the animals.
