Projecting dramatically over the edge of the gorge within the state park, this tower is the only spot on the US side that lets visitors stand out above the river for a sweeping look at the American, Bridal Veil and Horseshoe Falls at once. An elevator connects the upper deck to the base of the gorge, where it links to the boat-tour dock and riverside walkways.
Because its elevator serves as the main route down to the water, the tower is a natural first stop for orienting yourself before other activities. It is currently open, though at the time of research a far section and the crow's nest were temporarily closed for work.
