Beamsville is the administrative and commercial heart of the Town of Lincoln, founded in 1788 by United Empire Loyalist Jacob Beam. Sitting on the Beamsville Bench above Lake Ontario, it anchors the surrounding fruit belt with a walkable historic Main Street of century-old brick storefronts. Today it is best known as a hub of Niagara wine country, ringed by boutique wineries, orchards and tender-fruit farms.
