The Niagara Icewine Festival returns January 8–30, 2027, with events at different venues across Niagara. If you are planning to visit the outdoor Niagara-on-the-Lake Icewine Village on Queen Street, its announced dates are January 16–17 and 23–24, 2027. The regional festival date range does not mean the Village opens every day.

Which Icewine experience should you choose?
Icewine Village: Queen Street, Niagara-on-the-Lake
Choose the Village for an outdoor visit in the historic town centre. Wineries of Niagara-on-the-Lake announces the two 2027 weekends on its official Icewine Village page, which describes Icewine tastings, food pairings and winter activities. The page advertises free admission; food, drinks and optional premium experiences are separate. Check that page for the 2027 opening hours, vendor list and booking details as they are released.
Discovery Pass: a winery itinerary
The Icewine Discovery Pass is a separate programme of winery food-and-wine pairings. It suits visitors who want to travel between wineries rather than spend their whole visit on Queen Street. As of our check, its page welcomes visitors back for winter 2027 but does not provide a complete dated 2027 schedule. Confirm the participating wineries, valid dates, reservations and pass inclusions before choosing a route.
Cool As Ice Gala: a separate evening event
The regional festival also promotes the Cool As Ice Gala at the Niagara Parks Power Station in Niagara Falls. Use the official gala page to check the edition’s date, ticket availability and inclusions. A gala ticket, winery pass and Village premium booking cover different experiences; check each booking’s terms.
Tickets and costs
Start with the organiser’s regional festival overview, then follow the programme you want. We have not carried over old pass or VIP prices as 2027 prices. Free Village admission does not include unlimited tastings, and the January 8–30 festival window is not one admission ticket.
Parking and getting around
For the Village, use the Town’s parking map and payment information to plan where to leave your car. Check current signs and event notices before parking near Queen Street; a previous year’s road-closure notice is not a 2027 traffic plan. Leave time to walk from your parking spot.
For winery visits, arrange a designated driver or book transport before committing to tastings. Confirm any festival shuttle directly with the organiser instead of assuming it is included in a pass. Accessibility, children and winter preparation
The organiser’s winter FAQ describes the Village as welcoming children and says festival venues accommodate wheelchairs and strollers. Contact the specific venue about step-free routes, accessible washrooms, seating and drop-off arrangements for your visit. Outdoor winter conditions can affect how easy a route is to use. Check individual evening-event age restrictions before booking.
For the outdoor Village, bring warm layers and footwear suitable for winter walking. Plan indoor breaks, and check the forecast and organiser’s latest notices before setting out.
