Set on the Lake Erie shore in the village of Crystal Beach, Bay Beach is a town-operated waterfront park that draws families and day-trippers through the warm months for swimming, sunbathing and lakeside strolls. The beach was redeveloped with contemporary amenities including washrooms and change rooms, a water-bottle filling station, a festival square for community events and a viewing deck overlooking the sand.
Accessibility was a focus of the upgrades, with a ramp and beach mats extending toward the water's edge so more visitors can reach the shoreline. Just beyond the sand, the walkable Crystal Beach neighbourhood adds ice-cream shops, cafes, restaurants and small businesses, and the area carries the nostalgic legacy of the historic amusement park that once made this a summer destination.
