Memorial Clock Tower

Unveiled in 1922 to honour local residents who died in the First World War, the Memorial Clock Tower rises from the centre of Queen Street and later gained inscriptions commemorating the Second World War and the Korean War. Its unusual position in the middle of the main street gives Old Town a striking focal point that ties the historic shopping and dining district together.

Free to view at any time, it is a favourite photo stop for first-time visitors wandering the heritage streetscape.
