Restaurants With a View of Niagara Falls: 8 Verified Picks in Canada and New York

7 Must-Try Restaurants with a View of Niagara Falls

Of the eight verified restaurants with a view of Niagara Falls, seven are in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada and one is in Niagara Falls, New York, USA. The closest room to the water is Table Rock House Restaurant, at the brink of the Canadian Horseshoe Falls. The highest is the Skylon Tower Revolving Dining Room, 775 feet up. The only verified falls-view restaurant on the American side is Top of the Falls Restaurant on Goat Island, and it is open in summer only.

Everything below carries a street address and the side of the border it is on, because there are two cities called Niagara Falls and booking the wrong one means an international crossing you did not plan for.

Two cities, one name: work out which side you are booking

Niagara Falls, Ontario faces the falls; Niagara Falls, New York stands beside them. That geography is the whole reason the Canadian side has seven of these eight rooms and the American side has one. From the Ontario shore you look straight into the face of the Horseshoe Falls; from most of the New York shore you are standing on top of the same water, which is spectacular in person and much harder to sell as a dinner view.

On the Ontario side, two separate clusters get called “Fallsview” and they are not the same place:

  • Fallsview Boulevard – the uphill hotel-tower row. Watermark Fallsview Dining and Morton’s Grille are here, in the Hilton and the Marriott respectively.
  • Falls Avenue – the Falls Avenue Resort cluster down by Clifton Hill. Massimo’s Italian Fallsview Restaurant is here, on a different street from the tower row.
  • The Niagara Parkway – the riverside road run by Niagara Parks, the Ontario government agency. Table Rock House and Queen Victoria Place sit right on the water here.
  • Robinson Street – one block back, where the Skylon Tower puts both its rooms at 775 feet.

On the American side, the view restaurant is inside Niagara Falls State Park, on Goat Island. If you are building a day around the meal rather than the other way round, our guide to the top Niagara Falls attractions covers what sits within walking distance on each shore.

Restaurants with a view of Niagara Falls in Ontario, Canada

Table Rock House Restaurant – Niagara Parkway, Ontario

6650 Niagara Parkway, Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada. This is the closest restaurant to the brink of the Canadian Horseshoe Falls, with floor-to-ceiling windows onto the water and onto the nightly illumination – the one durable reason to choose it over a comparable meal elsewhere in the city. It is operated by Niagara Parks, an agency of the Government of Ontario, and is Feast On certified for local sourcing. It stands at Table Rock Centre, the same site as Journey Behind the Falls, so the meal and the attraction pair without moving the car.

Skylon Tower Revolving Dining Room – Robinson Street, Ontario

5200 Robinson Street, Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada. The dining room at the top of the Skylon Tower sits 775 feet up and completes one full 360-degree rotation an hour, so a table facing away from the falls at the start of a meal is not facing away by the end of it. Every dining reservation includes the Ride-to-the-Top elevator and access to both the indoor and outdoor observation decks, which are otherwise paid admission – worth pricing in when you compare it against a cheaper meal plus separate deck tickets. Early dinner seatings at 4:30pm and 5:00pm are priced below prime evening seatings.

Watermark Fallsview Dining – Fallsview Boulevard, Ontario

6361 Fallsview Boulevard, Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada. On the 33rd floor of the Hilton Niagara Falls, this is the room that claims both cataracts in one window – the American Falls and the Horseshoe Falls together, rather than the Horseshoe alone. It is dinner only: 5:00pm to 9:00pm Sunday to Thursday, 5:00pm to 10:00pm Friday and Saturday, so there is no daytime option here. The cheapest route in is the first-seating table d’hote at 5:00pm to 5:45pm, listed at $59 CAD per person at the time of writing. Groups of 13 or more have to book through the hotel’s sales office.

Queen Victoria Place Restaurant – Niagara Parkway, Ontario

6345 Niagara Parkway, Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada. A 1904 building with a green copper roof and walls built from boulder stones taken out of the riverbed, standing in Queen Victoria Park just south of the Horseshoe Falls. Like Table Rock House it is run by Niagara Parks and is Feast On certified, with a Niagara VQA wine list. It is seasonal – April to October only – so it is not a year-round dinner option. There is on-site parking, which is worth something this close to the water.

Summit Suite Buffet at the Skylon Tower – Robinson Street, Ontario

5200 Robinson Street, Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada. The buffet in the same tower and on the same 775-foot level as the Revolving Dining Room, which Skylon markets as the casual, family-friendly room rather than the special-occasion one. The Horseshoe Falls view is panoramic from the same height. Like the Revolving Dining Room, a reservation includes complimentary observation deck access. It opens seasonally, typically May to October, so it is not an answer to where to eat with a falls view in winter.

Morton’s Grille Niagara Falls – Fallsview Boulevard, Ontario

6740 Fallsview Boulevard (L2G 3W6), Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada. A steak and seafood room inside the Marriott Niagara Falls Fallsview Hotel & Spa, and the first Morton’s Grille in Canada. It opens at 11:00am daily and runs to 10:00pm Sunday to Thursday and 11:00pm Friday and Saturday, which makes it one of the few rooms on this list where a falls view over lunch is possible rather than dinner only. It publishes a prix fixe dinner for two – three courses plus a bottle of wine. Reservations on 905-358-4045.

Massimo’s Italian Fallsview Restaurant – Falls Avenue, Ontario

5875 Falls Avenue, FR Level – A (L2G 3K7), Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada. Read the street name carefully: this one is on Falls Avenue in the Falls Avenue Resort cluster near Clifton Hill, not on the Fallsview Boulevard hotel row further uphill. The two names are easy to confuse when you are booking or giving a driver directions. Dinner only, from 5:00pm to 9:00pm Sunday to Thursday and to 10:00pm Friday and Saturday. Reservations are taken by phone on 905-374-5023 rather than through an online booking platform, so it needs a call during business hours.

Restaurants with a view of Niagara Falls in New York, USA

Top of the Falls Restaurant – Goat Island, New York

30 Goat Island Loop Road, Niagara Falls, New York, USA. This is the one verified falls-view restaurant on the American side, and it is physically inside Niagara Falls State Park on Goat Island, looking across Terrapin Point at the Horseshoe Falls through floor-to-ceiling windows, with outdoor dining decks as well. Niagara Falls USA, the official destination marketing organisation for the American side, lists it as ADA compliant and group friendly. It is seasonal – May through September only – so for most of the year the New York side has no equivalent. It sits in the same park as the Maid of the Mist boarding point.

Which one to book, by what you actually want

  • Closest to the water: Table Rock House Restaurant, Niagara Parkway, Ontario.
  • Highest up: Skylon Tower Revolving Dining Room and Summit Suite Buffet, both at 775 feet, Ontario.
  • Both falls in one window: Watermark Fallsview Dining, 33rd floor, Ontario.
  • Eating with children: Summit Suite Buffet, which Skylon itself positions as the casual room – though only from roughly May to October.
  • Lunch rather than dinner: Morton’s Grille, open from 11:00am. Watermark and Massimo’s do not serve before 5:00pm.
  • Staying on the American side: Top of the Falls Restaurant, and only between May and September.
  • A building worth looking at as well as out of: Queen Victoria Place Restaurant, in its 1904 stone pavilion.

Planning notes

Three of the eight close for the season

  • Top of the Falls Restaurant (New York): May through September only.
  • Queen Victoria Place Restaurant (Ontario): April to October only.
  • Summit Suite Buffet (Ontario): seasonal, typically May to October.

The other five do not publish a seasonal closure, but hours in Niagara Falls move with the tourist calendar in both countries. Treat every time listed here as a starting point and confirm with the restaurant before you build a day around it.

Getting a window seat, not just a reservation

  • Ask for a window table explicitly when you book. The view is what you are paying the premium for, and in a fixed dining room not every seat has one. The Skylon Revolving Dining Room is the exception, because the floor moves.
  • Early seatings are the price lever. Skylon prices its 4:30pm and 5:00pm dinner seatings below prime, and Watermark’s 5:00pm to 5:45pm first seating is its cheapest entry point.
  • A Skylon dining reservation includes the elevator and both observation decks, which are otherwise paid admission – so compare total spend, not just menu price.
  • Massimo’s takes bookings by phone only, on 905-374-5023. Plan that call rather than expecting to reserve online late at night.
  • Watermark handles parties of 13 or more through the Hilton’s sales office rather than normal reservations.

Crossing the border for dinner

Seven of these eight restaurants are in Canada. If you are staying in Niagara Falls, New York and want the fallsview room, you are making an international crossing – bring a valid passport or an accepted alternative such as an enhanced driver’s licence or NEXUS card, and allow for queues at the Rainbow Bridge on summer evenings. The reverse applies for Top of the Falls: Canadian visitors need the same documents to reach Goat Island. Requirements are set by the two governments and do change, so check the current rules for your citizenship before you travel.

Allergies and dietary requirements

None of these eight restaurants publishes a dedicated allergen-free kitchen, a separate fryer or a separate preparation area, and we have not verified one at any of them. Assume shared equipment and shared surfaces, and phone the restaurant directly to describe what you need before you book. That matters more than usual here: several of these rooms run fixed or prix fixe menus, which leaves less room to substitute at the table.

Addresses and locations here were verified against each venue’s own site or its official destination marketing organisation in July 2026. Hours, prices and seasonal dates change – confirm directly with the restaurant before you travel.

A falls view is only part of eating well here — for the food itself, see our guides to the best restaurants in Niagara Falls, where the locals eat off-strip, and the best brunch near the falls.

Frequently asked questions

Which restaurant has the best view of Niagara Falls?

It depends which kind of view you mean. For proximity, Table Rock House Restaurant on the Niagara Parkway in Ontario is the closest to the brink of the Horseshoe Falls. For height and scale, the Skylon Tower Revolving Dining Room sits 775 feet up. For seeing the American Falls and the Horseshoe Falls in a single frame, Watermark Fallsview Dining on the 33rd floor of the Hilton is the one that claims both.

Are there restaurants with a view of Niagara Falls on the New York side?

One that we could verify: Top of the Falls Restaurant at 30 Goat Island Loop Road, inside Niagara Falls State Park. It is open May through September only. Outside those months, a falls-view meal means crossing into Ontario.

Why does the Canadian side have so many more?

Because the Ontario shore faces the falls across the gorge, so a building on that side can sell a frontal view. The New York shore runs alongside and above the water, which makes for a better walk and a worse window. That is also why the Ontario hotel towers on Fallsview Boulevard were built where they were.

Do I need a reservation?

For dinner, yes – assume so at all of them, and particularly on summer weekends and holidays. Book directly and ask for a window table at the time of booking rather than on arrival. Massimo's takes reservations by phone rather than through an online platform.

Are fallsview restaurants expensive?

They are priced for the window, and most of these rooms sit at the upper end of dining in Niagara Falls. The published levers are the early seatings: Skylon's 4:30pm and 5:00pm dinner sittings are priced below prime, and Watermark's 5:00pm first seating is its cheapest table d'hote. The Summit Suite Buffet is the one room here explicitly marketed as the casual option.
