The Skylon Tower has been a fixture of the Niagara skyline since the mid-1960s, its exterior glass elevators climbing the shaft to a viewing level high above the gorge. From the top, visitors take in a sweeping panorama that includes both the Horseshoe and American Falls, the surrounding parkland, and, on clear days, the distant cities beyond. The tower also houses a slowly rotating restaurant, making it a popular spot to pair a meal with the view. Its combination of height, location and longevity has made it one of the most recognizable landmarks on the Ontario side of the falls.
Tickets and access
Published online observation-deck tickets are CAD $18 for adults 13+ and $9 for children 4–12; on-site prices are higher. Observation access is included when dining at the tower’s restaurants, so check your booking before buying twice. The indoor observation deck is wheelchair accessible, while the outdoor deck has three steps.
Before you go
Choose your date around visibility if the panorama is the main reason for your visit. Check current observation hours separately from restaurant hours. Paid parking is available in the tower’s lots; a place on the map does not guarantee a space when you arrive.
