Housed partly in the 1874 former Stamford Township Hall and expanded with a modern, fully accessible wing, the Niagara Falls History Museum presents the layered story of the region. Permanent galleries cover the pivotal Battle of Lundy's Lane, early settlement, and the long tradition of stunters and tightrope walkers drawn to the falls.
Rotating exhibitions and interactive stations, where visitors can handle replica gear or test their nerve on a simulated tightrope, round out a visit that suits both history enthusiasts and children. The museum is operated by the City of Niagara Falls.
