What to know about each New York hotel
DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Niagara Falls New York
Hilton describes this hotel as being along the Niagara River, within walking distance of American Falls and Prospect Point. It specifically advertises river-view rooms, an indoor pool and Parkway Prime restaurant. This makes it worth comparing if a water outlook and hotel facilities are both on your list. A Niagara River view is not a guaranteed view of the waterfall. Ask which direction your room faces and whether the quoted rate books that view or merely records a preference.
The official Hilton property page listed self-parking at USD $15 per day when checked. The restaurant serves breakfast, but check your selected rate for inclusion. This is the hotel at 401 Buffalo Avenue in New York, not DoubleTree Fallsview in Ontario.
Red Coach Inn
The Red Coach Inn’s room names are more useful than a general request for a view. For example, its Tasner Suite description identifies views of the Upper Rapids and Goat Island, along with two bedrooms and a living area. That is a specific river-and-rapids outlook; do not turn it into a promise of a front-facing view of Horseshoe Falls.
Compare the inn’s individual rooms and suites before choosing. Confirm the floor, stairs or step-free route, sleeping arrangement and any package inclusions for the room you want. A named suite is a more reliable starting point than assuming every room in the same building has the same scenery.
The Giacomo
The Giacomo’s official amenities page identifies its Skyview Lounge on the 19th floor. Treat this as a shared viewing space, not a private rooftop terrace or a falls-view balcony attached to your room. Confirm guest access for your dates if the lounge is central to your choice.
The room descriptions distinguish ordinary guestrooms from named suites; the Majestic Suite is described as having views of the Niagara River region. That wording still needs checking against the exact outlook you want. The hotel currently lists its breakfast buffet as a paid offering, so do not assume breakfast is complimentary unless your booked package includes it. Fireplaces and whirlpool baths also depend on the room category.
Comfort Inn The Pointe
At 1 Prospect Pointe, this is a practical option for visitors who want to spend their viewing time in Niagara Falls State Park. Choice’s official listing confirms hot breakfast and lists parking at USD $10 per night. Include that in your comparison rather than treating parking as free.
Choose it for the location and the facilities listed in your reservation. We have not verified a room category that guarantees a waterfall view here. Check the route to the attraction you intend to visit: reaching the park entrance and reaching the boarding area for Maid of the Mist are different parts of the walk.
Econo Lodge at the Falls North
This hotel is on Niagara Falls Boulevard, outside the downtown park area. Retain it on your shortlist if you are comparing a stay with a car, but allow for the trip to the falls and any parking you use there. It should not be booked in expectation of a waterfall view or an immediate stroll from your room to the brink.
The official Niagara Falls USA listing confirms the address, free parking and a seasonal outdoor pool. Check the selected room rate for breakfast and the hotel’s current pool dates. If you plan to rely on a shuttle, confirm the actual dates, stops and timetable before booking; seasonal transport is not a year-round guarantee.
How to book a room that delivers the view you want
- Check the country and street address. “Niagara Falls” alone is not enough. Buffalo Avenue and Prospect Pointe in this guide are in New York; Fallsview Boulevard and Falls Avenue hotels in the Canadian section are in Ontario.
- Read the exact room category. River view, city view, park view and falls view are not interchangeable. Ask what water or landmark is visible and whether you can see it from the room itself.
- Distinguish a booked category from a request. A note asking for a high floor may depend on availability. Ask the hotel to confirm any view you are paying extra for in the reservation details.
- Compare the full stay cost. Use the same dates, party size and currency, then add parking, breakfast and mandatory fees. Check cancellation terms before choosing a lower advance-purchase rate.
