RiverBrink grew out of the private collection of Samuel E. Weir, whose country home overlooking the Niagara River opened to the public as a museum in 1983. Its holdings run to well over a thousand works and include paintings associated with Tom Thomson, the Group of Seven, Cornelius Krieghoff and Emily Carr, alongside European pieces, decorative arts, and a substantial reference library.
Changing exhibitions, garden views over the river, and education programs including summer art camps for children make it a rewarding detour in the historic Queenston area of Niagara-on-the-Lake.
