Ravine Vineyard sits on the Lowrey family's 19th-century homestead in St. Davids, where organically farmed vines climb the lower slopes of the Niagara Escarpment in the St. Davids Bench sub-appellation. The winery is as much a culinary destination as a tasting stop, pairing its Bordeaux-style reds and aromatic whites with a rustic on-site restaurant, bakery and deli.
Visitors can wander the grounds, settle in for a flight from the Ravine and Sand & Gravel labels, and take in views across the vineyard. Its walk-in, no-reservation approach makes it one of the more approachable premium stops on the Niagara-on-the-Lake wine route.
