Flying from a heliport on Victoria Avenue just north of the main tourist strip, Niagara Helicopters has offered aerial tours of the falls for more than half a century. A typical flight banks over the Niagara River gorge, the Whirlpool and the Rainbow Bridge before circling the crest of the Horseshoe Falls, with recorded commentary piped through each passenger's headset.
Flights depart daily during daylight hours, weather permitting, and the company also arranges specialty experiences such as wedding flights and winery tours. Being a short drive from Clifton Hill and Fallsview, it is a popular add-on for visitors wanting a bird's-eye perspective on the cataracts.
