Draped along the rim of the Niagara Whirlpool and gorge, Whirlpool is celebrated as one of the last courses to spring from the drawing board of Canadian design icon Stanley Thompson. Its mature, tree-lined fairways and thoughtfully routed holes have kept it among the country's most highly rated public tracks for decades.
Owned and operated by the Niagara Parks Commission, the course welcomes visitors seasonally and pairs its golf with dramatic river scenery and an on-site pub and lounge. Ongoing phased restoration work aims to return the layout to Thompson's original vision.
